The weather was sure moody this month! We started out with 41 degrees, then we had a few days of 60s and 70s, 50s, down to 36, into the teens and up to 93!! There were 4 record breaking highs this month! Up and down, down and up. I found a graph - WILD! Yo yo roller coater weather.
Flowers were popping up!
We put out our purple martin house and in less than a week we had our first martin fly in!
We mowed 3 times this month.
And set up our water fountain. We had a couple of nights of deep freeze and the water froze over.
Our youngest granddaughter began preschool this month and joined her older sister! All our grandkids are now enrolled in schools - preschool through college.
I got my plants out of our window well, which has acted as a green house during the winter. Because of the freeze a couple of nights, we had to cover them with sheets and buckets.
I purchased a couple of plants to pot outside.
It was time to put away all my winter decorations and get out my spring decor.
I went ahead and put out Easter decorations too.
We had Legacy at our church. It was on Prodigals.
Excellent! If you want to watch, it is here:
I continued World Bible Seminar classes with Dr. Jim Martin and Dr. Wave Nunnally; our "yeshiva" classes are by zoom and in-person in Wichita.
This last week, we had a Seder meal. No one wanted to sit at Judas' spot.
Al continues teaching Adult Sunday School. When he taught on Ruth, he had readers and we went through the whole book. Loved the animated readers!
One story this past month for my Awana Cubbies was Goliath. I brought my Goliath I painted and the kids enjoyed trying to "sling stones" at him.
Celebrated our friend Bob's 90th birthday!
A sweet lady from our church passed away. My 3rd funeral this year. A couple of take-aways from her life. When things were hard, she would say
"Cheer up! Let's go to Jesus!"
Also, it was said that the Bible and prayer were her oxygen. I love that!!
She would speak faith into fear.
The best thing this month was that my daughter and her girls came to visit!
They've grown so much since Christmas, when we last measured them!
We did an early Easter egg hunt since we won't see eachother to celebrate Resurrection Sunday. I told them the story of Christ's arrest, death and resurrection using plastic eggs.
We spent a day at the zoo.
The next couple of days were freezing so they played hard inside!
Then there were the goodbyes.
Papa had to go to work the day they were leaving so they stopped by his office to say their byes.
One last thing from this month. Our daughter Jill took her junior and senior high students (which include our granddaughter, Sophia) to Washington DC! What an incredible experience for them! I want to be a sponsor next time she does this!
They were privileged to have a private meeting with Assistant Secretary of State Riley Barnes! Jill says he is a man of integrity and purpose and we are blessed to have him in that position. He is the son-in-law of Albert Mohler also!
