About 20 years ago, my Bible study group the Mom2Mom ministries at our church. It was based on Titus 2 - the older moms leading the younger moms. Up until this year we had led this group. Although we are no longer in charge, a few of us still help with it. I attend the evening session and teach the children in the morning session.
This past session I used a story from this old book. I LOVE this book series. So sad that it is no longer in print. Such cute stories for 2's and 3's! I used to give them as new baby gifts.
Because it is January, I read the story "God...Gives Snow" (Psalm 147:12...16)
I love the cute little children and animals the artist paints!
For a craft, each child made a snowman.
They enjoyed the poems/fingerplays.
Snack time!
While they ate, I read this poem:
A chubby little snowman had a carrot for a nose
Along came a bunny and what do you suppose?
That hungry little bunny was looking for his lunch...
And he ate that snowman's nose...Cr...r...unch!
Then we danced in circles...
(Tune: Are you sleeping?)
Dance like snowflakes,
Dance like snowflakes
In the air, in the air
Whirling, twirling snowflakes,
Whirling, twirling snowflakes,
Here and there, here and there.
Next month is Valentine's!
Those snowmen were CUTE! Obviously, my kiddos weren't back there, but I saw Brahm's....
