Judgement House - Prayer Room

This is my 2nd year as the Prayer Director for Judgement House.
What an honour to do this!
"During evangelist Billy Graham's historic 1949 Los Angeles campaign, the big tent that held over 6,000 people was filled to overflowing every night for 8 weeks.  Close by was a smaller tent set aside for counseling and prayer.

Cliff Barrows, longtime music director and close friend and associate of Graham, has often said that the real work of the gospel took place in 'the little tent', where people gathered on their knees to pray before and during every evangelistic service."  -- Daily Bread

We set up our own little "tent room" down the hall from where our Judgement House drama was taking place.

In my prayer room, I have lots of tools to help guide people to a deeper level of prayer with the Lord.

I have to share this little story about the white handkerchief.
From the Daily Bread - "Recently, while watching a video of a church service held in South America, I noticed something I had never seen before in church.  As the pastor passionately called his flock to yield their lives to Jesus, one of the parishioners took a white hankie out of his pocket and started waving it in the air.  Then another, and another.  With tears running down their cheeks, they were expressing full surrender to Christ.  But I wonder if there was more to the moment than the flags of surrender.  I think they were waving flags of love to God.  When God told His people to 'love the Lord your God' (Deut. 6:5), it was in the context of His urging them to surrender their lives to Him.  From God's point of view, life with Him is far more than just trying to be good.  It is always about relationship - relationship in which surrender is the way we express our grateful love to Him."

I have several worship CD's that we play throughout the evening.

Our 2 boards are filled with prayer requests that are texted to us.
And LOTS of answered prayers that we cheer about!

I have several who come to be prayer walkers.  These people follow a group going through the tour of Judgement House.  They come alongside in prayer for each person.

I also have people who just come to pray in the "little tent".  Some silently (in their own little prayer closet, so to speak) and others in groups of two or more.

And many who are my e-prayer partners.  They are sent e-mails of prayer requests throughout the week and answers to those prayers too.

"Prayer is a hand-clasp with God."

"Do you think prayer like Elijah's at Mt. Carmel is beyond you?  Think again.  James 5:16-18.  The point is not the person who prays, but the God Who answers!
