Painting between rains

 Josh and Staci decided that their house needed a little makeover.

                                                                  Joby agreed. 

 

First we painted on the cement primer on the stucco siding.

 

The neighbor's dogs came to check it out.

Eli thought he would entertain them.

Emeri showed us a surprise in the garage. 

Baby wrens!

  Lunch time with the master chef!

It began to rain after lunch.  A pop up shower.

Luckily it rained straight down. 

No Kansas wind here.

The eaves protected the paint!




























       Emeri read a book on her Kindle while I did what I like to do - bird watch!

 Mommy and Daddy wren were going in and out!

 

 Eli and Papa played for awhile.

 

 We painted the deck area which was protected from the rain.

The next day, even before breakfast, the kids were playing Sorry with Papa.

Eli loves to play games and we played several rounds of  Uno and Sorry.

 And we painted again.

I took these kids shopping to Hobby Lobby for some summer fun crafts.

 Josh grilled for supper.

Do we HAVE to eat these green beans??

"You can eat them now or cold for breakfast."
 I remember when their daddy had a fit about green beans too!  Pay back!

while Josh was chasing flies that had gotten into the house while we were in and out painting during the day.  The back door was open for awhile while it was being painted.  He killed close to 30!  And here he is cleaning the "juice" left behind from swatting those flies.
