Out my back window

The last few days have been windy! Kansas windy! And cold.

Today it is calm and so nice outside.

The birds are enjoying the day.

The purple martins and sparrows are competing for their apartment space.

There were a couple children who came over yesterday. While Sophie and I went inside to mix the juice for the orioles that should be migrating soon, Hannah got busy -

I think half the sand from the sandbox had been removed.

She was enjoying her day outside too.

  1. I'll put the comment here on your last post....I LOVE your drawing that you both shared with us last Tuesday morning as well as on this blog. It's very illustrative to a point! You always come up with such great ideas!

  2. So many different species of birds. Very cool.

And I love the sand comment. I thought mine were the only ones who felt that emptying the sand box was the only reason to have sand in the first place.

  4. Gorgeous birds. We just had a new one in the tree outside my office window. Don't know what it was, but colorful just the same. I worked outside yesterday, "getting rid of winter". Talk about feeling good, but so much more to do!
