Parched

Yesterday we saw clouds!!

Please rain on us!

It has been soooo dry here. Except for my bougainvillea that doesn't seem to mind the heat,

my other plants do not like the 29 days of over 100 that we have been experiencing.

I water a lot! But it doesn't look like I've watered hardly at all! This heat is just awful for the plants. Our water bill is going to be outrageous!

Please rain on us!

Don't tease!

We could see lightening all around us. Not here.

In the middle of the night, I heard rain. It woke me up. But this morning, the rain gauge showed nada. And the ground was plum dry. So back to watering.

The Message
"Yes, and I'm the One who stopped the rains three months short of harvest. I'd make it rain on one village but not on another. I'd make it rain on one field but not on another—and that one would dry up. People would stagger from village to village crazed for water and never quenching their thirst. But you never got thirsty for me. You ignored me." God's Decree.
Amos 4:6-8

That is a sad verse. May we thirst for Him more than for rain!

Reign on me Lord, Reign on me,
Whatever my situation, Reign on me!
For as long as Thou wilt Reign on me,
My heart shall be in Peace and Steadfast in Thee.

We are planning a trip to the ocean. I got these "surf" boards for the grandkids.

The girls were excited to pretend to be at the ocean. Then we overheard Sophia: I'm surfing on the web!
