Getting Away

We recently took a little time and had a get-away with the family.  We were packed FULL!!!  Gear for the beach, groceries for the week for all...

If you look closely in the picture above - and below! - you will notice a toothpick in Al's mouth.  I didn't see it, but my daughter pointed it out.  We laugh about this a lot.  Toothpick Man!

We were leaving the sunflower state behind and headed toward the beaches of Alabama!

This is a beautiful building, I think!

I find it interesting that a train runs in the middle of the eastbound/westbound traffic.

Can you imagine how frightening that would be to side swipe those barriers?

We made it as far as Little Rock that first night.

It was going to be good to get away for awhile!  Where we wouldn't have to wear masks!

In our own personal daily lives, we too need to get away for awhile and spend it with the Saviour.  Jesus once told His disciples,

"Come with Me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."

Each day we can be refreshed as we spend some time with Him.

"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint."  Jeremiah 31:25
