Going to the North Pole

Yesterday at Walmart, I noticed that they were putting out Christmas decorations. Which reminded me that we went to the North Pole recently.

North Pole at the base of Pikes Peak in Colorado, that is.

This ferris wheel is that highest in the world.  By elevation, that is, sitting at approximately 7,500 feet above sea level.

Choo-choo!

Culvers!

As we were driving home, Kaia rolled down her window.  Jason rolled it back up and said "Kaia, I have my eye on you."  Kaia retorted back "You keep your eye on the road!"

Paper doll fun

Sunday School

There was a video testimony that a girl gave of how Christ helped her come out of alchohol addiction.
The pastor spoke on Romans 5.  So good!
  • "What if the middle of the hard is what makes you?"
  • "If you have difficult kids, you learn about the unconditional love of God."
  • Suffering is a path.  The enemy doesn't want us to follow Jesus. Persevere.  Refuse to give up.  God is good, no matter what.
  • How a Christian defines "grace" is not like the world thinks of it.  Not like someone who dances gracefully.  But the undeserved kindness of our LORD.

At home, we played "What animal am I?"

We took the girls to the park.

Jason and Allen loaded up a "hand-me-up" mattress for us to take back home with us the next day.

On Monday morning before we left for home, we took the girls to school.
Tenley picked flowers for her teacher.

Heading home

It's such a pretty drive.

Our window was bug splattered.  Look at the wonky paint job of the stripes!  I think the guy must have been drunk!

So grateful to be able to drive to see our kids!
