It was an interesting drive from Bran to Galati. A taste of Romania.
And another sign.
A gypsy funeral
"For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die;
our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.
Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed
into bodies that will never die,
this Scripture will be fulfilled:
'Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? Where, is your sting?'" 1 Corinthians 15:53-55
We stopped in the mountains at this little stream. You could even get a drink from the mountain spring. (comparing it to a clear Colorado mountain stream)
We stopped for gas, restrooms, snacks. There are stray dogs and cats everywhere! Sophia was missing Kobi and had to stop to give this pup a tummy rub.
We arrived at dusk at the Emanuel church in Galati to meet our hosts for the few days we would be here.
Not this stream, but clean spring water out of a pipe in the mountain. Several tried it. Al and I chose not to. Didn't want to chance getting any "bugs". Those who tried it did not get sick so I guess it was ok.
My stomach was somewhat unsettled. Look at the "serpentines" we drove through in the mountains.
We stopped at a KFC along the way. They have interesting dipping fries. See how they are shaped? Maybe they have them here in the States too. Don't know.
