"I do", double bikes, and sausage

This past weekend, our nephew got married.
The guests signed in by highlighting their favorite Bible verses in a Bible.  Then they'd sign their name next to it.

What was interesting was that just the day before, I had asked all my kids what their favorite Bible verse was (I had no idea Jared and Hannah were going to be doing this, by the way).  I have written my children/grandchildren's names next to "their" verses in my own Bible.

The wedding was at Hannah's family home north of Hutch.  It was a lovely setting!  And perfect weather!  The days up to this were rainy and today it is HOT.

 Our family.

No need for bulletins - great idea!  Yay for pallets!
Al's brother, Sid, sang to the couple

Happy for you both, Jared and Hannah!!

Saturday morning we were all startled awake by a 5.6 earthquake!

Facebook lit up with comments from people all over.  I guess 7 states felt it.  We didn't have damage, just lots of rattling of dishes and pictures scewed crooked.

The weather continued to be very nice.  I'd love to live somewhere with temperatures in the 70's with no humidity!  Maybe I'd miss the snow.  Maybe.  And fall leaves.

 We enjoyed the day outside!

Hannah was enjoying using my camera to take pictures and had the girls pose for her.

Adam was missing in these photos because he was in a golf tournament.

In the evening, we grilled.

We tried a new thing for us:  Yoder sausage, split almost in half and grilled.  I guess they do this in our kid's home town.  Except it is sausage grown in their home town.
Of course we had to eat outside!
On Sunday, we went to the kid's church for a brunch.  Those country folk know how to cook!!

Josh led worship
Adam preached on Biblical womanhood.  It was so very good!  You can listen here.

Jill shared some thoughts also.

It was such a good weekend!
