In Vail

After a little driving around (see previous post), we made it to Vail to check into our Airbnb.

The back deck overlooked a little creek and there was a walkway on the other side.  We walked that path last year.

Heading into town to go out to eat.

It was Octoberfest.

We celebrated Al's birthday.

The next morning, Tenley and I went to watch
her daddy and Papa play pickleball.

After the guys showered, we went to the gondolas.

These ladies were hiking the trail instead of the gondola.  Didn't look like too much fun, although I know it would be the healthier option!  We did, however, take the 1 mile trail that went across to the other gondolas.

It was a pretty smooth trail, but at some spots
the stroller had to picked up.

There was a rock climbing set up for the kids up there.  Mindy remarked that Tenley will learn how to do the real thing.  I'm sure of that!

After all, her parents do!  Here is a picture of Mindy one year.

I would have enjoyed doing this roller coaster!
Maybe one day.

We took the gondola back down.

I think my grandson, Eli, would love to bike down the mountain like these boys did!

Must be 2021...

Lifewatch Helicopter coming into the Vail hospital.

Farmer's market where we purchased some fresh peaches to go with our lunch.

That evening, we babysat Tenley so Mindy and Jason could go out on the town.

Thank you, Mindy and Jason for the lovely time in Vail!
