We were ready to head off for Florida after breakfast.
Before our good-byes, we had to measure and see how much taller Claire had gotten than me. Wow, she has grown! She'll be 14 soon! Speaking of "good-byes", we found out that we will have to say good-bye to the Dutch Kitchen, an Amish run restaurant. (Claire is wearing a shirt from there.) They have closed. Oh, how we loved their food. We took the family there last June when they came to Kansas to celebrate our anniversary.
Last hugs before Florida!
Good-bye, Wisconsin barns.
Just this past week, the iconic Culver's blue barn fell down in a storm! We've passed this barn on our way to Jill's home for several years (unless we are taking another route, which we do at times when we are adventuring).not my photo
Emeri helped drive so Papa could sleep.
We introduced Em to Texas Road House.
We got as far as Kentucky that first day and stopped for the night. We drove from Wisconsin, through Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, then Kentucky.

The next morning, we drove to the Ark Encounter.
The Bible does give some descriptions of the ark, but much of this place is the ideas of how it could have been. If they would have included what it might have smelled like.... Can you even imagine?
Here is a short article about the ark.
Jill had told us to eat at the buffet, that it was worth it. It was really good! We recommend it too.
Trip to Florida to be continued....
