We haven't done a lot of traveling lately, unlike other years where we seemed to be on roadtrips a lot! Then these last 2 weekends we went on 3 different jaunts!
Last weekend on Friday afternoon, we took off for Arkansas. I took the wheel so Al could take a nap. When we got to Leon, traffic was backed up with construction. Maybe 50 cars worth. As we continued going, there were some crazy drivers that were clearly upset with the traffic. They were passing where they shouldn't have and weaving in and out. I had it.
"Al, could you look for a road going south." He pointed out 99, and I took it. We have actually done it before, but it was just good to get out of the heavy traffic.
Here is the blogpost of when we stopped at Elk Falls. That was 4 years ago.
We stopped to take a look at this scenery.
I love the historical old homes driving through old towns. I wish we could go in a time capsule back in time to see what families lived there and what it was like when those homes were new.
It was a beautiful drive! And something different than the old same-o, same-o.
We arrived at our son's home in time for dinner.
Eli showed us his new car and then took us for a spin! He even let Papa drive too!
The weekend to be continued...
