You never know when

Our last day helping the kids paint their house, we worked until 2:00.

We showered and packed up and left to go back home.  Al had to work the next day.  Plus, it had began to pour rain again.

The skies behind us in the mirror were really dark.
We decided to go home via Tulsa.  Being the start of Memorial Day weekend, we knew the traffic could be horrendous in the 2 lane road the other way.

It took a long time getting through Siloam with all the traffic.
We had never seen so much traffic on 412 and 135 ever!  So glad we opted for the 4-lane road!

There was one construction zone and that was getting off 412 and onto 135.

We had to use the loop d loops as exits.

We noticed a helicopter approach the highway and then fly in front of us a ways.  You can see it landing clear in the front of the highway.   That meant there was probably an accident.

Sure enough.  There had been either an accident or someone with a medical condition.  They were doing heart compressions on a motorcyclist.  Father, I don't know if he made it or not, but You know each day of our lives.

A person's days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed.  Job 14:5

A little later, we saw this motorcyclist riding without a helmet.  We have enough medical people in our family who have seen ones like him in the ER to know that it isn't very wise to not use a helmet!  But it's his choice!

I wonder what he thought when he passed that accident of a fellow cycler?

Busy farmers

We saw a turtle at the edge of the highway, just starting to cross the highway.
Ummm, not too smart.

Al said "Better not 'Go west, young man.'"
(remember Michael W. Smith singing that song?)

We got home and noticed that our allium had blossomed!

 Everything looked so good!!

Thanks to Luke who is our water-er and bird feeder while we are gone!

So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90:12
