It was so good to get to Mindy's house! The original family together again, except missing our son, Josh.
We celebrated with several rounds of Ring around the Rosie and popsicles.
Before we got to Mindy's, our car was making a racket...a terrible grinding noise! Metal on Metal. Al said our brake pad had worn out. He gave it a temporary fix until we could get home.
The girls "helped" him and then also helped wash our filthy car.
Kansas has incredible sunsets, but so does Denver!
Their area has a pool and it was good to cool off there.
There was a lot of reading going on too.
Jason and Mindy took us out to eat as a thank you that we had come to babysit their girls while they go to Mexico to celebrate their 6th anniversary and Mindy's 40th! Enough leftovers for 2 more meals!
Jason took us on a climb up the hill behind their house. Denver was shrouded in smoke from fires nearby.
The little ones were sad they couldn't go along, but just a little too strenuous for them just yet.
It was pretty hard climbing down!
Early the next morning, before the little ones had woke up, Jason and Mindy were off on their trip.
