Family photos 2020

Whenever we get together as a family, we take family pictures.

                     This is obviously 2020!

We decided to recreate a picture from a few years ago:

My son and his family

My daughter and her family

Can't leave out my other daughter!  We were sad that Mindy and Jason were not able to join us but they were in the process of moving!  Which was a really great thing!!  Taken before their move away from California.  They will be closer to us now!

Here are a few family photos from past years.  I think I'm the only one who has aged!  Well, the grandkids have sure shot up!  Three are taller than me now!

I love photos because they capture moments in time and bring back treasured times!

What is there to do?

A question often asked is "What is there to do on Dauphin Island?"  I guess some vacations are packed with activities, but the main reason for going to Dauphin is for relaxation!!

In past years, we have gone to Fort Gaines and the Estuarium and walked around the Audubon Bird Sanctuary that are on the island.  But mostly, besides swimming, we just like to chill!  No schedules, nothing to do but relax!

We do a lot of reading.

and sleeping (Papa)

Often we just sit and watch the waves.

Watch boats go by.

There's always walking along the beach!

We brought bubbles!  Thanks for the tip, Shelly Carlson!  Pretty amazing!

Frisbee throwing.

We always reserve an evening to take family photos.  I'll post those another time.

We tried out an ice-cream place this year!

We did a pinata one day.

CANDY!!

We always enjoy flying kites.  Papa got this octopus kite last time we came and brought it again.

We enjoyed watching the night sky!

We did a new thing this year - we rented a pontoon and jet ski for a day.  It was so fun!  Pictures to come!

What a refreshing, relaxing time it was!!
