Last day fun on Dauphin Island with a pontoon boat and ski jet

It has been a month since we were at Dauphin Island.  Today in Kansas it is cold!  We turned on our heater and even put the electric blanket on the bed.  I wouldn't mind returning to Dauphin Island!

Our last day there, we decided to do something we had not done before - we rented a pontoon boat!

These would have been nice too, but with a nice price!

We had a little dilemma; there was a limit of 10 people and there were 11 of us.

It ended up to be a good problem!

We just rented a jet ski to ride alongside the pontoon!  Jill and Staci picked that up!

Claire said "Look, Nana!  A teddy bear cloud!"

There are some stinkin' cute homes on Dauphin!

Jill traded places with Staci and they zoomed past us!

Someone must have built up a little tee pee?
I zoomed in close - there's something on top of that.....?  An osprey, perhaps.  Picture isn't very clear.

We put down anchor and went ashore after awhile.

Papa and Emeri

We got to the western shores of Dauphin and could see the Gulf side.

We all got off and walked on the white sands.

Taking turns while the rest of us just enjoy this quiet place looking for shells,

Time to head back.  We only rented the pontoon for 1/2 a day.  Wish we'd done the whole day!

Papa took me on the jet ski too.  I believe that is the first time I've ever been on one!

We stopped one other place where we could walk across to the Gulf side.

We needed to gas up the jet ski.

A visitor joined us!

We could see our house rental.  It is the one to the left of the pelican on the post.

End stretch back

Can you read the sign behind the guy?  Clearly, they can't.

And the pelicans know it!

What a satisfying day it was!!

The Lord does not only provide us days of joy and happiness with family, He also provides us with refuge and rest.

He IS that!  He IS our Refuge and Rest.
