But NOPE. The oil spill had to happen. So we opted for this:

Our Arkansas kids came here and it IS good to see them!!! But it would have been fun to have been at the beach with them instead. We were going to go with all the family including grandparents and our daughter-in-law's parents and her grandpa too. Oh well. Another time.Elijah learned how to wave today!
The kids enjoyed flying a kite.
Look how hot Hannah looks! So grateful for air conditioning with this over 100 degree weather we've been having!
We celebrated Mindy's birthday
and my parent's anniversary.
Today we went to the splash park with some of the young families from church.
And I'll write about the rest of the vacation at another time.

Isn't that water, or splash, park wonderful! Alana loved it when she was here and had to go 2 days in a row. A great way to cool off. I wonder if they would mind if we planted some trees to shade the parents and grandparents?
Oh, just wanted to add, what a neat family and cute bunch of grandchildren you have. Great pictures.
