Boogie boarding at Dauphin Island

I asked my daughter what hand gesture the kids were making.  Evidently it is a surf sign.  Had no idea.

"The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose" by outsiders also used to say awesome, is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii, and surf culture. ... It is primarily used as a greeting gesture or one to express thanks, acknowledgement, or even praise from one individual to another."
 I learned something new!

What fun everyone had boogie boarding!
Credit to my son Josh who got some of these great photo shots!!

Claire was so  brave!

 Sheer terror  vs. sheer joy

 Ok.  That wasn't so bad!

The surf was sometimes a little rough.
We lost 2 sunglasses and 2 goggles.

One can make the oddest faces when boogie boarding!

Not sure what kind of expression this is!

 Help?
