Old Town San Diego with Pat and Alan

Our sister-in-law, Pat, lives in San Diego.  She was married to Allen's brother, Harley, who passed away in 2007.  She is now with Alan, who also is a pharmacist, although retired now.

On Friday, there were no plans for our CAJ reunion, so Pat and Alan took us out for lunch to a restaurant in old town San Diego.

Al and Pat like to take people on deep sea fishing trips.  We laughed about the time Al's dad went.  It was Dad's dream to do this type of fishing.  But he ended up below deck throwing up the entire trip.

We walked around Old Town.

This plant is called Firestick; it is toxic.  It can cause serious irritation, a serious rash and even bleeding.  It can cause blindness if you get it in the eye.  And if ingested can cause vomiting or worse.  Do NOT touch!

These stairs reminded me of the time we were on Anna Maria Island this past year and I took a picture of our granddaughter, Hannah there.

We drove to the beach.  Too bad it was in the 50's.  So cold for San Diego!  That night it even hailed at Pat's house.  She told me her neighbor teenagers were out at midnight sliding down the street on boogie boards!

Memories from 2007 in memory of Harley

We painted stones and threw them over board.

And his ashes too.

Allen's family minus Terry
Harley (Smoke) is on the right.

We were grateful to be able to connect with Pat once again.
